Version:            (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from:    Slackware Packages

Currently kate displays 

Line: XY Col: ZW

in its status bar. It would be great if Kate could show

Line: XY of ST Col: ZW

instead. Without this one would have to scroll all the way down to check for the number of lines in a file, which is especially tedious for long files.
