To be more precise, in app-launcher part of kicker, it's ok. This problem only occurs in tray. yes, they are correct that it is a flaw in the specs that are on freedesktop.org. up till now nobody really cared to fix it, but we are working on a fix for KDE 4.0. this will only affect KDE applications, however, unless Gtk+ also adopts the improved standard. for Gtk+ applications using the systray, there is not really anything we can do one way or the other. the current mechanism is flawed, and it will be up to them to decide whether or not to adopt newer mechanisms which can improve the situation as they become available. Ok, I'm glad you're working on it. Following standards is essential. Keep up good work. |
