k3b does not find the temporary directory and terminates, afterwards digikam deletes the temporary folder (at least that's what the protocol says)

Would you mind giving us reports with more details? Error messages are useful, if you have any. Steps to reproduce, etc.

I think the problem comes from K3b, not Kipi-plugins. We have the same bug under MandrivaLinux (Cooker) too. Try the 2 temporary solutions reported by http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16504
