Description Eric Kjeldergaard 2005-06-12 11:42:02 UTC
Version:           1.6beta (using KDE 3.4.89 (>= 20050508), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.4.4 [FreeBSD] 20050518
OS:                FreeBSD (i386) release 6.0-CURRENT

Every time I start Konsole, the "Install Bitmap Fonts?" dialogue comes up. I choose install, but it seems to not install them. The font shown is "9x15.pcf.gz".

I just committed some error checking. Can you update and try again?
The fonts should be installed into fonts:/Personal. You can check in Konqueror by typing 'fonts:/Personal' in the Location: entry.

It is hard for to test the 9x15 because on my system (Gentoo Linux), xorg-x11 installs that font along with others.

This bug is seriously annoying. Please fix it or just remove it. If users want specific console fonts - they'll find them on their own.

I have since set:

[Notification Messages]
installbdffonts=no

It no longer checks at startup; there is a now a sub-item under Fonts for Install...

It would be nice for KDE4 not to ship any fonts with Konsole...
