Description Christopher Leaver 2005-06-05 20:34:15 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux

My Canon G6 powershot, (and presumably everyone else's too !) saves all photos in Landscape, and sets the EXIF orientation flag to either 1 for landscape or 6 for portrait.

KuickShow handles this correctly, (but not for auto previews) It would be nice if desktop wallpaper and screen savers did too, then I wouldn't have to stick my shoes to the wall so often :-)

Adding my voice to the same feature request.

I started modifying screensaver code, but i think it should be somewhere in a lower level to all applications can benefit..

(QImage looks like the best place, but i'm guessing qt code is out of scope?)

I will be glad to solve the bug with some guidance.

The desktop wallpaper is a dup of 89120. I'm not sure how the screensaver handles the slide show.

This bug was closed as a duplicate of 89120, however 89120 covers only the desktop background case and has been fixed.

The slideshow screen saver is not a duplicate of 89120 and this bug should be reopened until it is fixed.
