Description Nick Talbott 2005-06-03 15:52:22 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc 3.3.4 Slackware 10
OS: Linux

Bug appears using Konqueror to view directory contents in MultiColumn view and relates to keyboard navigation. (Bug not present in Icon view or any of the list views.)

Cursor left/right work as expected.

Cursor up/down results in some files being skipped over, so they can not be manually selected.

Unlike bug 81690 this does not seem to be related to filename length or icon size.

The pattern of skipping files is always the same. Also, the files skipped when using cursor-up are _not_ the same as those skipped when using cursor-down.

A faulty linked list issue?

Confirming for 3.4.1 Debian64 build.

This bug still exists in KDE 3.5.2 (Gentoo Linux ~x86; GCC 3.4.6-r1) and also occurs for me in filelists in other apps (like the one in K3B). I noticed that I don't have the bug when icons are large in multicolumn view but only when they are 'tiny'. This bug is really annoying.

kdelibs bug, it seems. I'll close this bug as dupe of the newer bug 129151 since that one is filed under kdelibs and has a testcase.
