Attachments: Shows lack of icon for SMB connection in Network sidebar

Description Vlad C. 2005-06-03 02:59:44 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I have set up a connection to an SMB share using the "Add a Network Folder" wizard in remote:/.

An icon for the connection was added in remote:/, but not in Konqueror's Network sidebar. I think there should be an icon for the connection in both places, since the first place people naturally tend to look for the network connections they set up earlier is in their file manager (specifically the Network sidebar).

In fact, I think it would be most intuitive to merge the functionality of remote:/ with the Network sidebar so that everything accessible through one is also accessible through the other.

Shows lack of icon for SMB connection in Network sidebar

The left Konqueror window shows an SMB connection called "tato". However, the
connection is not visible from the Network sidebar (shown in right Konqueror
window).

Well, it's not really something applying on remote:/ itself...
More an unfortunate sidebar default settings. I can't decide what to do
by myself I prefer to give the opportunity to the people working on the sidebar
to rework the sidebar config.
