Version: 0.10.90 (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

This is a reallt annoying problem.
Basically, sometimes, when kopete crashes or have problems with the conetact list xml and you have to delete it, when you reconnect most of your contacts are offline.
If you open icq2go or icqlite, you will see that most of the conectats on the icq server simply where removed!
Then you have to add all of them again! It's really apinfull to ask authorization for all of them like every week :(

My solution for this problem is simple: put on kopete a option like most linux icq clientes (as sim) have: ignore user authorization. This way you don't need to ask them again and again.

Next time, _PLEASE_ search the bug database for similar bugs. It'll keep you (and me as well) from wasting a bunch of time.

Hum, sorry. You're right, I knew about this bug/wish, BUT, this bug remains.
Why do Kopete empty the list on ICQ servers when crashing sometimes? ICQLite surely dosen't do it.
I just presented a solution if this is a NON-FIX, but, if there is a way to make kopete never make server-sided contact lists go away, I belive it should be done also, so this would be a valid bug, right?

Sorry, I really wasn'ty clear, ignoring the user auth, shold be a tmeporary solution, the real one is to prevent server-side contact list going NULL or making sure kopete someway tell servers that you already have all those contacts in your contacts.xml
