I've realized that there is KGet, and that it already functions pretty well. But I believe that Konqueror needs a built-in Download Manager, something to collect all the different dialogs when you're downloading 10 different things at once, so it doesn't clutter the desktop.

I know KGet can do this already, but KGet is too complicated for most users (all the extra features are only used by people who are familar with programs like GetRight, etc), and it doesn't not have the integrated feel to it (when you start downloading something, it doesn't pop up the manager window to show you the progress, etc).

I mean, its probably easiest to add an option into KGet to make it show the KGet manager window when you queue/start a new download, which I can actually live with lol. But theres still the problem of bloat, KGet is for novice/advanced users, not the everyday (newb/average) users who just want to download a few files quickly and not want several dialog windows popped up on their desktop.

anyway, i hope i didn't come off as pushy or anything, just a suggestion after downloading too many files at once :)

Reassigning to kget.

This could, however, be a kio wish.
