It is often necessary to compare images, check how they are looking beside.
Allowing for multiple instances of image editor would help enormously.

This will be not most often used feature so option is unnecessary. Make it
special shortcut like: <alt-enter> and <alt-mouseclick>. Shift and Control have
to be saved for selection.

It could also allow for viewing of whole image before and after applying effects.

Comparing images will be solved by future Light Table tool.
