I'm aware resizing doesn't work, see BR 95932. However, minicom works fine here. In fact it appears minicom does not resize the terminal. I tried xterm with strange dimensions and minicom didn't resize xterm. I don't know why you think minicom is resizing the terminal... Minicom output looks O.K. to me. Provide more details... it may depend on how you use minicom - I use it two different ways (both fail like this) one is an old one (2.00.0 on redhat 7.3, run over ssh from a gentoo machine running kde3.4) the other is gentoo tip-of-tree - in the past (kde 3.3 and before) minicom would always resize the window when run - I think it has a thing about window width and doesn't like them being wider than 80 chars, doesn't seem to care much about height - you might also need to make sure you have the bottom status line turned on. The symptoms are that the status line gets written over and over again continually, clearing the screen in the process The only minicom I have is Gentoo's net-dialup/minicom-2.1-r1 I tried a huge window 75 198 xterm and minicom didn't resize it. The statusbar is on. Note that I've fixed the resizing issue in BR95932. I just tried it in a maximized konsole and lo-and-behold, minicom resized it to 80x45. Very strange.... both have TERM=xterm This should be fixed as Konsole can resize now. I've backported the resize fix so it will appear in KDe 3.4.1. Let me know if you have any more issues... |
