Description Mike Massonnet 2005-03-15 21:22:43 UTC
Version: 0.15.1 (using KDE 3.3.2, (3.1))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.5 (Debian 1:3.3.5-6)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.10-1-k7

I would like to see in the GUI a button, or an item in the Configuration menu to have a fast access on the OSD. Checked it shows the OSD, unchecked it doesn't show them.
This could be really useful, because it is annoying to be working and see the OSD... and it happends often that I connect to IRC chat, and then work. So it will be nice to have an fast access to shut on off the OSD. Actually the need is to open the configuration widget. And click and click and click.

Well, I hope you will think about it ;) I'm going to watch out the source and geek a bit, but I'm really a noob in gaining access to a source code.

See you.

Try this. In Konvi, type "/prefs osd useOSD false" or "/prefs osd useOSD
true" to turn OSD on and off. If this works, you should then be able to make
alias commands to turn OSD on and off.

Type "/prefs" for more info.

Ok, I didn't know /prefs since your answer, it is really sweet . Well,
what you wrote works naturally, and I don't need more, so thank you
Gary.
Bye.
PS: my suggestion, is to add buttons that could be personnalisable.
