Description Jan Tönjes 2005-03-07 14:51:46 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.4.0)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages
Compiler: gcc 3.3.5-r1
OS: Linux

Since KDE 3.4-rc1 I experience, that when I write a text like i.e. an SMS at my Freemail account (http://www.freemail.de) or a notice to my bank (https://meine.deutsche-bank.de) in a textbox in Konqueror, it freezes for arround 15 seconds or more. Always when everything seems to work again fine, I simply need to delete one letter or write a new letter and it freezes again. It doesn't happen with "big" textboxes like this one I am writing in right now. I think it has got something to do with this counter. At my SMS-Text-Entry-Box as well as on the Notic-To-Bank-Text-Entry-Box I see a small counter that tells me how many letters I have written already / I am allowed to write. This problem didn't exist in KDE 3.4_beta2.

Can you test if the fix for Bug #80072 solves your problem?
