unable to reproduce for 3.5.2 closing, if this is still an issue for you James, please KDE know. It works fine from within Konqueror, however if I use Ark the drag & drop goes very strange. Try this: Run 'Ark' File->New, enter a name (test.tar.gz or whatever) Action->Add File. Choose any file you like. Close 'Ark' Run 'Ark' again File->Open. Choose the archive you created before. Attempt to drag the file out of the archive and onto your desktop. From the popup menu choose 'copy here'. You should now find the mouse pointer is still indicating you have something to drop, and clicking the mouse will drop it (again). Occasionally when doing this I get the strange error of "Sorry - KDesktop. The Clipboard is Empty". Since reporting this bug I have had to re-install Gentoo on my machine due to a HDD crash, so hopefully it's not something unique to my machine. confirming for 3.5.2 not konqueror, ark |
