Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package OS: Linux It is impossible to set the font size to anything other than 14pt in KTouch, although all other font settings work fine.
On Slacware 9.1: - Kde 3.1.4 (the standard version compiled in Slackware), in the window opened after chosing "general option", the size list is ghosted and you're not allowed to chose any dimension. The default is 14 and even if you specify a different one with the keyboard (writing it) or with the mouse (increasing or decreasing the number) anything will change; - Kde 3.2.1 (upgraded from slackware current via ftp), the size list is now available, but every size chosen is not setted. Everytime you open the settings the size is moved back to 14 points; Changing font's face works fine in both versions.
The font size for the keyboard keys seems to be set regarding the window dimensions. If you resize the main window smaller, the font size decreases. I am not sure how you can set a font size in the case of KTouch. If you set the size to 20, would then the user just see part of the letter?
KTouch 1.3 from KDE 3.2.3 from Debian Testing (Sarge) still has (some of) it's fonts stuck at 14pt, which makes it practically unusable for high resolution/ small physical size displays (i.e. most endlevel PCs when configured to use anything higher than 800x600). It only affects the "text line" and "font for keys on keyboard" widgets. All of the other fonts are correctly inherited from the KDE settings.
Confirmed and rated as feature wish, rather then a bug. Font size is determined by window size. If you increase the size of the window, the font size is increased accordingly. Some font faces my not have enough size steps available, resulting in too small font sizes. I'll add an override-control for the sizes of keyboard and sliding line fonts. Status changed to "ASSIGNED".
Fixed in version 1.5.3. The font size is calculated relatively to the height of the slide-line-widget (the widget between status boxes at top and keyboard). Normally the height of the widget is limited to: 50 < h < 200, but the maximum height can now be changed in the configuration.
