Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 3.5.5, Debian Package 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 (4.0)) Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.18-3-amd64 If I run “krita http://v791.vanager.de/jaromir.jpeg”, select “Filter” -> “Enhance” -> “Gaussian Noise Reduction...”, enter “1” or “3” into the “Window size” field, and then press “OK”, the image seems to not change at all. At least, if I watch the topmost–leftmost corner heavily zoomed, I cannot see any pixels changing their color.
you need to decrease the threshold, and your image isn't very noisy. The gaussian blur is more efficient on images taken in an environnement with a low level of light (and no flash) when CCD captors in camera have a very high level of noise, this can be simulated with the "noise filter" (opacity ~ 40 level ~ 5). But I keep the bug open as a reminder to decrease the default value of the threshold
Change summary to reflect current status and confirm.
I don't know what the previous default threshold was, has this already been changed?
