Example: A1 is 2006-03-14 A2 is =datevalue(A1) A2 should now show 38790, but it shows 2006-03-04. If using =datevalue("2006-03-14") the correct value is shown. cu Andreas

kspread 1.5.1 (KDE 3.5.5 "release 19.1" openSUSE)
Please try with 1.6, there were many fixes in this regard.
tried with 1.6.1, same problem
Fix got committed to the 1.6-branch (r610048) and trunk (610049). We behave now like OOo Calc does (accepting only text as input). A lot of thanks for the feedback, Andreas!
Tried it with 1.6.3 (KDE 3.5.5 "release 19.1" openSUSE), same problem.
Fixed in the upcoming 2.x series.
