Version: 1.5.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.3) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages OS: Linux 1. Open new Spreadsheet 2. Mark some cells e.g. B2 to B10 3. Klick "Set a left border ..." 4. Klick "Set a right border ..." 5. Klick "Set a bottom border ..." 6. Klick e.g. D1 to deselect the cells In my case, the right border of cell B10 is missing. After saving (to .ods), closing and then loading the file again, everything looks alright. I had several issues with borders dissappearing after reopening files. In those cases I was not able to reproduce, so this is the case I figured out.
Can't confirm this, but for merged cells this seems to be the case.
I can confirm that. KSpread is unusable.
Created an attachment (id=16821) [details] Some playing with cell borders. I made some boxes with cell borders. In the box there is the order in which I made the borders by clicking the according butten in toolbar. As you can see, I repeated the order in every row and the results differs.
Created an attachment (id=16822) [details] Some playing with cell borders. And then the same file after reopening it.
I can confirm this. KSpread caused data loss to me.
data loss is defined to be grave
In bug 130923, there is a reproducible border error.
Sounds a bit like another bug to me. I have never experienced data loss while playing with the borders. In my case the borders are drawn irregularyly on opening the document. So maybe they are there again after reopening some time. Anyway. I can confirm the strange border behaviour for KSpread 1.5.2 (Debian packages) as well.
Done the "reopen" thing by myself and you are right, they are not there in kspread. I furthermore tried creating some grid in kspread from B2 to F10. When opening that file in oocalc, the grid expands from A2 to T10. It would be great to have a 100% ODF-compliant viewer to see, what application causes the trouble here. :)

Would you be so kind and tell us about the reason?
