Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.2) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux My online banking site appears to be using RC4-MD5 SSLv3, but it connects if I enable SSLv2 in Konqueror. None of the SSLv2 Ciphers need to be selected and the SSLv3 RC4-MD5 does need to be selected. https://welcome8.smile.co.uk/SmileWeb/start.do
Seems to work fine for me. Which openssl version?
openssl 0.9.8a
breezy works fine, tls && sslv3 enabled. Konqi on Debian unstable won't work with similar settings, openssl 0.9.8a
Mandriva Cooker works fine, SSLv2 disabled, OpenSSL 0.9.8a
I want to jump in here as I have a report fitting to the subject of this. I use KDE 3.5.5 (Gentoo packages) and seeing a similar problem with the site https://www-pu.informatik.uni-tuebingen.de/info-i-0607/index.php If I open this url in a newly startes konqueror window, it leads to a "connection refused" error. If I enable SSLv2 manually, it works as expected. When I turn off SSLv2 again, the site still works. The used cipher is always (if I enable or disable SSLv2) "DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA". When I start a fresh konqueror instance with only SSLv3 enabled and I hit reload for about 10 times, the site starts to work. Can anyone reproduce this? KDE 3.5.5 openssl 0.9.8d compiled from gentoo packages
Seems to work now. The URL from the original reporter does not exist anymore, the site reported by Bernd works now. Even if the site has changed in some significant way, KDE4 has a new SSL implementation anyway.
