| Bug 107165: message windows become very heigh | (normal) |
| Opened: | 2005-06-10 13:42 |
| Product: | kalarm |
| Component: | general |
| Version: | unspecified |
| Status: | CLOSED |
| Platform: | Debian testing |
| Resolution: | FIXED |

Version: 1.1.7 (using KDE KDE 3.3.2)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux
Problem: message windows become suddenly very high
When I checked /home/.kde/share/config/kalarmrc :
...
[MessageWin]
Height 768=769
Width 1024=244
...
I adjusted "Height" to low value (couple of hundreds) and problem disappeared for a few days. Then the same thing happended - 3x so far. There was always the same number 769 for "Height".
I managed to reproduce it by Try-ing test alarm, which I created very long on purpose. It seems that Height value never returns to low value if it ever goes over screen height. My previous encounters with this problem are probably related to a single longish alarm (a copy of email), which I deferred twice.

------- Additional Comment #1 From David Jarvie 2005-06-10 21:19 -------
Fixed for KDE 3.4 and CVS. I've also put in a fix into KDE 3.3, in case Debian upgrades to the latest CVS 3.3 version.
But note that if someone has made the fault happen using an existing version of KAlarm, editing the kalarmrc file will still be necessary to make the fault go away.
